Biker Down Course Ride Out. May the 4th.

The ride Out  for the  Biker Down Course is set for this coming Saturday, May the 4th.  The Course can run with up to 20 people on it and we have just a few places left. (just 4)

The Course is set to start at 10.30 am at the Fire Station at Llandrindod Wells.  So in order to be up there in time we must LEAVE Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar at 9am at the very latest.  So please note this is not the meeting time but the departure time.

If we are not there when you get there…… we’ve gone!

If we are still there… then we haven’t gone yet!

The route will be straight up the A470 to the roundabout at the Royal Welsh Showground, and then turn right on the A483 towards Llandrindod.  The fire station is a new building just off the last roundabout to the right, as you are about to leave the town at the Northern end of the town.

The course lasts about 3 hours, to allow for everyone to get hands on with the practical bits.

When we finish we will travel to The Owl’s Nest Tea Rooms & Diner at Llandovery.

For those who came on the last ride out to Saundersfoot will remember the Owl’s Nest as we called in there on the way.  On that day Ian, the owner told me that someone had nicked his ‘Bikers Welcome’ sign from outside.  So I had another one made for him.  Unfortunately I didn’t get there to deliver it before we departed on our Scottish Splendour Tour,  so we took the banner with us and photographed it on its journey around the Highlands.  To view the pictures visit the Facebook Page of The Owl’s Nest, where there is a 1st Class Rider Photo Album that has been created and you can follow the adventures of the banner.  On the ride out on Saturday you will get to see it in it’s rightful place, at the entrance to ‘The Nest’.

So the Scottish Splendour Trip was a great success.  The Advanced Course is up and running, and all the riders have completed the theory sessions and their first day of practical on road training.  With just one more day to go, before then arranging the RoSPA Tests through the new on line RoSPA Booking System.

So watch this space for details of more tours, (Scotland again is a must) and details of another Advanced Course, as there were a few who couldn’t make the dates for the last one.

So why not join us…….. Come on….. You know you want to….
