July & August Ride Outs

Just a reminder about the July Ride Out, this Sunday to Aberdare Park Motorcycle Road Races. See the previous post for meeting details. Sunday the 19th of July.
August. 16th
Also, a reminder for the August Ride Out. This is the brain child of Kevin, at Rider’s in Sloper Road, but this needs some advanced commitment from you as food needs to be ordered in advance.
This will also require a small (non – returnable) deposit to secure your lunch. Here are the details as suggested by Kevin. It will involve three separate groups along 3 different routes. One Group Made up of Harley Riders, One Group of Ducati Riders and One Group of BMW (& others). Three different groups but all heading for the same location for lunch.
The venue is just outside Rhayader and holds the promise of a top class Sunday lunch. Whilst this ride out is not being organised by Rider’s Kevin says they will provide a service van to assist with any breakdowns.
So we have a group of Harleys, Ducatis and Beemers………which group should the breakdown van follow??
SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST
1st CLASS RIDERS POWYS RED KITE RIDE
Meeting at Riders Cardiff on Sloper Road Cardiff (just up from the new football stadium for those yet to visit)
Arrive at nine for a prompt 10am getaway.
Coffee/Tea and bacon rolls in Cafe
3 groups: BMW, Ducati and Harley Davidson riders
30 riders max per group
One man drop off system
Meeting @ Brynafon Country House Hotel for 1pm lunch

Cost of £10 includes lunch (no drinks) – beverage and bacon roll at Riders
Limited availability £5 deposit secures your place £10 in total £1 towards Andy’s charity
No refunds as this covers cost of purchase and prep of the food!
3pm next door is the famous Red Kite feeding hour which can be seen from the hotels car park!!!!!

If you want to secure a place on this ride out please let me know well in advance so that the necessary bookings can be finalised. Please don’t leave it until the last minute.
Andy Smith is the holder of the coveted Police Class 1 motorcycle grade, RoSPA Examiner and Diploma Holder, Certified Instructor for the DSA and the holder of a BTEC in Advanced Motorcycle Instruction.
He is the proprietor of 1st Class Rider Training- Cardiff, offering motorcycle training at all levels.

Hi Andrew. The ride out is open to anyone, no matter whatever bike, or who you passed with. (For those who didn’t train and pass with us…..we can make allowances…..!)
It is just that we are going to run one for Harleys, One for Ducatis and one for all the other bikes out there.
I’m going to put out another blog for it shortly but to pay you can call into Riders and speak to Kevin (the Manager) and he will take the money from you and add you to the list.
