 Scottish Tour 5th – 9th September 2013.

This is the final call to get your name on the list for our next Tour of Scotland.  5th – 9th of September 2013.   We must finalise the bookings for the accommodation so please don’t miss out.  Bookings are being handled by our Scottish expert, Russel, who lead the last tour of the Highlands.  If you want to get on the list please contact Russ by email at russ@1stclassrider.co.uk to pay the deposit.

A deposit of £100 is required at this stage, and this needs to be paid by Monday at the latest, as the hoteliers cannot hold the rooms for us any longer.

This is an excellent chance to experience supervised group riding under expert guidance, so don’t miss out.  Email Russ now!

(Full details of what is included in the Scottish Tour can be found in the previous blog post – 2 nights B&B, plus 2 nights B,B & Evening Meal)

July Ride Out.  Saturday (NOT a Sunday this month) 27th July. From Romans to Roundheads.

We are meeting at Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar for a 10am departure and we are going to the area where in AD55 Roman Military Commander, Aulus Didius Gallus set up the earliest Legionary Fort in Wales.  Now the site hosts a small former market town situated at an important river crossing.  After passing through this town we will pass in the shadow of a former Norman Castle, which during the English Civil War, was held on behalf of King Charles 1st, before being taken by Parliamentary Round Head forces in 1646.

We will travel through countryside which is calm and idyllic now but has seen much blood shed in its rolling hills at many times during its turbulent past.

Come and join us.  Come on…. you know you want to…..
