Motorcycle Tyre Recall.

Michelin issues a motorcycle tyre recall due to possible defects.

A report in Driving Magazine states;

Tyre Manufacturer Michelin has issued a product recall for two of its motorcycle tyres.

The models of tyres affected are the Pilot Power 2CT & Pilot Power 120/70 ZR 17.

Both are front tyres with ‘Made in France’ markings.

Examinations on these tyres has shown a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity.

However, it must be stressed that, to date, no cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred.

The tyres can be identified by the following marking on the side wall, a ‘Made in France’ label and DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T

The tyres have been removed from sale and a special telephone number has been set up for consumers in the UK to provide customers with information and advice.

That number is 0800 454 774.

Give them a call and say ‘Bon Jour, ‘ello, ‘ello, what’s wrong with my tyres”?
