Ride Out Sunday 29th July
Due to the recent extremes in weather conditions we may have to cut the ride short as it takes in roads near to the River Wye which were subject to flood alerts recently.
The next ride out will be heading for Lyn Clywedog near Llanidloes. We’ve been that way before but I just love the road from Llanidloes up through Staylittle to Llanbrynmair.
Meeting at MacDonald’s at junction 32, Coryton Interchange on the M4 for a 9.30am departure.
The ride crosses and follows part of Glyndwr’s Way which is a National Trail deriving it’s name from the 15th Century Welsh Folk Hero, Barry John, (No Sorry he was a Hero much later) Owain Glyndwr fought and won many a battle along or near the ‘Way’. Fighting off the English who were trying to take over all the Cafe’s in Wales and re-open them as a Starbucks!
If only He knew then………. Skinny Latte anyone??
