Ride Out Sunday 31st August.
Mountains, What Mountains? No, I’ve got to eat before I ride over those. This is on the way to Innsbruck. What a ride.
But we’re not going to Innsbruck this Sunday, (31st August)
No we are going to Plymouth instead.
The trip is on to Ocean BMW to visit our old chum Peter Cramp, formerly of Rydale BMW in Cardiff.
Peter now runs the show at Ocean and is preparing as we speak, to receive us with open arms and warm pasties, at his Plymouth showroom.
He has sent out a request to some of his local biking Cornish Piskies to meet with us and after some refreshments at the dealership, to take us for a ride on some of the nicer Devon & Cornwall roads.
So as this trip is a rather long distance it is envisaged that the run down will be largely motorway (so this may not appeal to some) but it is hoped that the return journey would be over Dartmoor, Exmoor, that sort of thing.
So the starting time has been brought forward to 8.30am. Leaving MacDonald’s at junction 32 of the M4. For those wishing to join us from the Bristol side can meet at Gordano Services on the M5 and we will call in on the way.
That’s right. Leaving at 8.30am.
Peter has hinted that he might provide us with the said pasties so would like to know how many might be going.
Please, Please add your name on as a comment to let me know if you will join us. Also let me know by way of a comment if you wish to meet at Gordano. (If you don’t let me know we won’t stop there).
So please let me know the details so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
Peter is a nice guy and you can be assured of a warm welcome from him so come and say hello.
See you Sunday. If you don’t want to come, I’ll tell Peter that are coming anyway and I can eat all your pasties.
“Who ate all the pies, who ate all the pies………. Me I did!

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who came on the ride out on the weekend and especially those who didn’t turn back because of the rain!
Also a big thank you to Peter and the Staff at Ocean BMW, Plymouth.
Mervyn and his good lady wife for inviting us back to his charming home on Dartmoor for a Devon Cream Tea.
What a fab trip, not spoilt by the bit of a run on the motorway.
