Roadar (RoSPA) Mid Winter Munch Ride Out Sunday 19th January

The two South Wales Roadar (RoSPA) Advanced Riding Groups are having a Mid Winter Munch with a Ride Out to The Steel Horse Cafe this Sunday the 19th of January. The Steel Horse Cafe is a very biker friendly eatery near Usk.

You do not need to be an ‘advanced rider’ or a member of the group to attend. This is an opportunity to join a ride out with a very experienced group of riders. There will be a mixture of group members, group advanced tutors and maybe an examiner or two. So if you fancied a ride out where you can pick the brains of these enthusiastic bikers then this could be the one for you. (Don’t ask them any hard questions whilst they are eating mind…) If you’ve ever wondered what is involved in joining the group or training towards the advanced test, or just getting advice that may improve your riding then this is a great opportunity.

There are a number of meeting points along the route and this ride out does not include any motorway.

The first meeting point is to depart at 9.45 from McDonald’s at Culverhouse Cross on the A48 just West of Cardiff.

Then to Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar to depart at 10.15. The snack bar is just off the A469 at the top of Caerphilly Mountain. Then there will be a meeting point at McDonald’s at Pontypool local services at the roundabout A472/A4042 – departing at 11am.

Arriving at The Steel Horse approximately 11.30am for some food (if you haven’t already had 12 burgers along the route).

I can’t make this Ride Out myself as I’m working but you will be guided by two very experienced Group Tutors who will look after you and give you a warm welcome. Seek out Dave Payne or Neil Hazell, (They’ll be near the front of the queue for the food so shouldn’t be too hard to find). Make it if you can…. you’ll have a great day.
